When and where is the “GTM” event?
Alrighty… the “Getting The Money” event is June 4,5, and 6th 2010 in Denver, CO. .. so get that flight booked this week before the airfare prices get higher.  As far as the hotel… that’s an undisclosed location for now… you’ll get the specific details and our special room block rate (it’s under $100/night… we wanted to keep it affordable for you).

We’re flying our “underground” investors and “money getting” experts in late June 3rd… and we’ll get started bright and early June 4th and dive into massive networking with high level investors (multi-family, commercial, single family, and more…) and step by step teaching.  The event will end Sunday early afternoon so you’ll have plenty of time to hop on a plane Sunday night if you need to get back by Monday.

Is this one of those pitch fests where every speaker is hocking their product?
Nope.  When we decided to do this event (after getting literally dozens and dozens of emails from subscribers and students) we said the only way we were going to do it is if we could find a way to do it without having to bring in a bunch of “gurus” to pitch their products so we could make this event worth our… AND YOUR while.

So, what we decided was to just hop in our rolodexes and get our friends and investor colleagues that we personally know, work with, and/or invest with and get them to come teach what they are doing to get their deals funded in todays market.  We’ve found that more often than not… the “gurus” who do the speaking circuit tend to spend most of their time speaking rather than investing… so, we decided to do the opposite.  Many of our “underground” speakers have never spoken on a stage before… and they all make their livings in their real estate businesses… not selling programs.

So, no… this event won’t be like the ones you’ve ever been to.  If you get lured in by the “sexiness” of the “guru” celebrity and would rather learn from a person you see as a celebrity because you’ve seen them on TV or the internet… awesome… this event isn’t for you. Is this bootcamp just about private money? Or will it teach other ways to fund my real estate deals?
We know private money is a HUGE way to fund deals in todays market… in fact, that’s what we’re experts at and we’ve collectively got over $31 million in private money and funded that into deals over the last 6 years.  Deals from single family flips… to 150+ unit multi-family syndications… to multi-million dollar commercial properties.  So yes… you’ll learn step by step all you need to know about getting private money… AND our SEC Attorney will be there to help you see what you NEED to do to stay SEC compliant pretty darn easily.

But, we realize that private money isn’t always the best and easiest way to close a real estate deal. In fact… do you think that those 150+ unit deals get done with 100% private money? What does the bootcamp cost?
Frankly, it’s not cheap.  Since we decided to go the route of inviting our friends, our own attorney and vendors, and underground investors who are kicking butt in the market to teach… we had to front their plane and hotel bills to get them there since most have absolutely nothing to sell.   We got them to take time out of their weekends to hop on a plane to Denver as favors to us… which is a hugely valuable thing to all of us… and they did it because they believe so much in the high quality of the event and speaker we’re bringing together… that they wanted to be a part of it.

Who are the speakers that will be at the event?

But, we can tell you that you haven’t seen or heard of most of them in your life.  Why?  Well… because they’re too busy closing deals and growing their real estate businesses and financing firms.

For instance, here’s what you can expect from our “underground” lineup of speakers:

  • One speaker is a 31 year old who started from scratch 2.5 years ago… he moved from Boston to Dallas with the sole mission of acquiring 2,000 multi-family units before the end of 2009. Well, long story short… he accomplished that goal and is now going for 10,000 units within 3 years.  He’ll teach you how he made the leap from single family to large multi-family (150 unit or more) and how he competed w/ the big boys with little money to his name.  And, he’ll show you how he closed his first 150+ unit deal… and how he’s closed 12 since then with a mixture of financing strategies including syndication, conventional financing, hard money, etc. This one is a MUST attend.
  • Another speaker is a Denver area investor who started and still runs one of the nations largest and most recognized real estate investment firms.  You’ve seen their bill boards and ads… but you probably never really knew who was behind them.  Well, he’s going to be there and he’s going to show you how they’re able to recruit all of the private money they need… and how he’s created one of the largest transactional funding firms in the country as well.  He’s got a great story and you’ll enjoy learning his secrets.
  • Yet another speaker is a personal friend of ours who went from being a repo man… to working his butt off and raising $90million from hedge funds and other sources to fund his real estate business that he took public earlier this decade.  This real estate business was a national volume purchaser that bought blocks of properties and notes direct from banks… and at one point was purchasing 300+ notes/properties a week in bulk. As you can imagine… this can wear on ya… so he sold that company off to a hedge fund and is now a hard money lender in the process of building another $30 million hard money fund as we speak.
  • Our SEC attorney will be there to answer your SEC compliance questions from A to Z.  Want to know what you can and can’t have on your website when getting private money?  Want to know what forms you have to file with the state so you don’t get in trouble?  Want to know who really needs to file with the state and who doesn’t?  Well… our SEC attorney will be there to teach you this… and to answer your questions afterwards so you don’t have any questions left to chance.
